    Visiting time for Jungle Safari

    As timing is variable according to weather conditions and seasonal changes but usually you can visit 2 times a day i.e. in the morning time around 6 am to 10 am and in the evening around 3 pm to 6 pm.

    Availability of the safari zone is totally managed by the Jim Corbett National Park officials as per the guidelines of the Indian Forest Department.

    Entry and Permissions

    As all the forest area is protected and restricted by the forest department of Uttarakhand, that’s why official permission is mandatory to enter and visit the tiger reserve zones.

    There are two types of permissions that visitors have to take before entering the reserve area. The first permit is for safari (Jeep or Canter). The second is to stay in the forest guest house at night in the national park.

    Corbett night stay is very popular among the visitor because it’s a wonderful experience to stay at night inside the park. One can book the night stay permissions for a minimum of 1 night and a maximum of 3 nights.

    Aamdanda Gate: The entry gate for Bijrani Zone

    This gate is the nearest entry gate for Corbett national park. Aamdanda gate is approx 2 km away from Ramnagar city. This is the entry gate for the Bijrani zone.

    Aamdanda gate is very famous among the tourist who visits and enjoys safari at Corbett Park. Day safari and forest rest house for night stay are offered here in the Bijrani zone. You can also enjoy an elephant safari here in this zone.

    A maximum of 30 jeeps is allowed in one shift for the jungle safari in the Bijrani zone. Advance booking is required in every zone of Corbett national park.

    This zone is open for visitors from 1st October to 30th June every year and is closed in the monsoon period for Corbett safari booking.

    Jhirna Gate: The entry gate for Jhirna Zone

    This gate is around 18 km away from Ramnagar city. This is the only gate of Corbett which is open throughout the year to the visitors.

    Here you can see a good variety of wild animals like wild bears, elephants, sambhar, deer, etc. Wild bears are the main attraction of this zone along with the tigers.

    Here also 30 jeeps are allowed in this zone in a single shift. You can book a night’s stay in this zone also.

    This gate is around 22 km away from Ramnagar city and the Dhikala zone is one of the most popular zones for tourist who visits the Corbett park.

    Dhikala zone is 30 km away from the Dhangari gate. Dhikala forest zone is almost in the center of Corbett park and this is the core area of the Corbett forest area.

    Durga Devi Gate: Entry gate for Lohachaur Zone

    This gate is the farthest around 28 km away from Ramnagar city. Visitors enjoy the safari here in the daytime. This is a hilly zone in Corbett park and situated in the northeast part of the forest also is at the bank of the Ramganga river.
